The VJ Series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths, seven sizes, and a variety of configurations. The VJ Series "W" enclosures include four stainless steel captive screws that secure the cover to the base through four threaded brass inserts contained in the base. The bases and covers are made of light gray (RAL7035), hot molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP). They come complete with UL/CSA labels and four threaded inserts for a mounting plate, with cover screw holes in corners located outside of the gasketed area. Continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. The enclosure can be readily worked with conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches. FRP enclosures can withstand continuous temperatures from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). VJ enclosures without latches provide optimum security to both operators and equipment due to their double insulation and protection degree IP66-11 according to IEC 529. These enclosures are maintenance-free and corrosion-resistant. The VJ enclosures are UL listed as per UL Standard 508 Type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, and are CSA approved as per C22.2 No. 94. Designed for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments, they are suitable for applications in oil refineries, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, agricultural environments, and food or animal processing plants. Additionally, VJ enclosures are appropriate as instrument housings for both indoor and outdoor applications, with window enclosures that provide easy visual inspection of interior components.
