The RVJ series consists of five enclosure sizes ranging from 10" x 8" to 18" x 16", with varying depths and a variety of configurations. The RVJ series "HWPL" enclosures feature one or two stainless steel padlockable latches that secure one side of the cover to the base, complemented by a stainless steel piano hinge securing the other side. Rivets connect the hinge to the cover, while self-tapping screws attach the cover to the base. Constructed from light gray (RAL7035), hot molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP), the enclosures come complete with UL/CSA labels and four threaded inserts for a mounting plate, with cover screw holes in corners located outside of the gasketed area. Continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. These enclosures can be readily worked with conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches. Designed to withstand versatile service conditions, FRP enclosures can endure continuous temperatures ranging from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). RVJ enclosures without latches offer optimum security with double insulation and a protection degree of IP66-11 as per IEC 529. They are maintenance-free and corrosion-resistant, UL listed as per UL Standard 508 Type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, and CSA approved as per C22.2 No. 94. The RVJ series enclosures are suitable for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments such as oil refineries, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, agricultural environments, and food or animal processing plants. Additionally, RVJ enclosures can serve as instrument housings for both indoor and outdoor applications, with window enclosures allowing for easy visual inspection of interior components.
