The VJ series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths and configurations. The VJ series "HWLL" enclosures feature one or two stainless steel twist latches to secure one side of the cover to the base, along with a stainless steel piano hinge securing the other side. The enclosures are constructed from light gray (RAL7035) hot molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) and come complete with UL/CSA labels and four threaded inserts for a mounting plate. The cover screw holes in the corners are positioned outside of the gasketed area, and continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. The enclosures can be easily worked with conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches. Designed to withstand versatile service conditions, FRP enclosures can endure continuous temperatures from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). VJ enclosures without latches offer optimum security and feature double insulation with a protection degree of IP66-11 according to IEC 529. Additionally, they are maintenance-free and corrosion-resistant, UL listed as per UL Standard 508 Type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, and CSA approved as per C22.2 No. 94. The VJ series enclosures are suitable for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments, including oil refineries, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, as well as agricultural and food or animal processing environments. They can also serve as instrument housings for both indoor and outdoor applications, with window enclosures allowing for easy visual inspection of interior components.
