The VJ series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths, offering a variety of configurations. The VJ series "HWPL" enclosures include one or two stainless steel padlockable latches to secure one side of the cover to the base, along with a stainless steel piano hinge that secures the other side. The hinge is connected to the cover by rivets, and self-tapping screws connect the cover to the base. Constructed from light gray (RAL 7035), hot molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP), the enclosures come complete with UL/CSA labels and four threaded inserts for a mounting plate. Cover screw holes located in the corners are outside of the gasketed area. Continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. The enclosures can be easily processed using conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches. They are designed to withstand continuous temperatures from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and can endure momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). VJ enclosures that do not feature latches provide enhanced security for both operators and equipment due to their double insulation and a protection degree of IP66-11 according to IEC 529. These enclosures are maintenance-free, corrosion-resistant, and UL listed per UL standard 508 type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, in addition to being CSA approved as per C22.2 No. 94. The VJ series enclosures are suitable for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments such as oil refineries, chemical processing plants, waste water treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, agricultural environments, and food or animal processing plants. Additionally, VJ enclosures serve effectively as instrument housings for both indoor and outdoor applications, while window enclosures allow for easy visual inspection of interior components.
