The VJB series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths and configurations. Made from corrosion-resistant hot compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, the enclosures feature transparent Lexan windows and do not contain halogens. The VJB "HWPL" enclosures include one or two stainless steel padlockable latches securing one side of the cover to the base and a stainless steel piano hinge securing the other side. Rivets connect the hinge to the cover, while self-tapping screws secure the latch(es) to the base. These enclosures come in light gray (RAL7035) FRP, complete with UL/CSA labels and four threaded inserts for a mounting plate. The cover screw holes are located outside the gasketed area, and continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. The enclosures can be worked with conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches. They can withstand continuous temperatures from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). VJB enclosures without latches offer enhanced security with double insulation and an IP66-11 protection rating according to IEC 529. They are maintenance-free, corrosion-resistant, and UL listed as per UL Standard 508 Type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, as well as CSA approved per C22.2 No. 94. Designed for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments, these enclosures are suitable for applications in oil refineries, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, agricultural settings, and food or animal processing plants, making them versatile for both indoor and outdoor use.
