The VJ Series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths and configurations. This series features "W" enclosures equipped with four stainless steel captive screws that secure the cover to the base via four threaded brass inserts located in the base. Made of light gray (RAL7035), hot molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP), the enclosures come with UL/CSA labels and four threaded inserts for a mounting plate. The cover screw holes in the corners are positioned outside the gasketed area, and continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. The enclosure can be processed with conventional tools like drills, mills, saws, and punches. FRP enclosures are designed to withstand continuous temperatures ranging from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and can endure momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). VJ enclosures without latches offer enhanced security for both operators and equipment, featuring double insulation and achieving a protection degree of IP66-11 as per IEC 529. The enclosures are maintenance-free, corrosion resistant, and UL listed according to UL Standard 508 Type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, while also being CSA approved as per C22.2 No. 94. Designed for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments, they are suitable for applications in oil refineries, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, agricultural environments, and food or animal processing plants. Additionally, VJ enclosures are appropriate as instrument housings in both indoor and outdoor settings, with window enclosures allowing for easy visual inspection of interior components.
