The VJB series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths and configurations. These enclosures are constructed from corrosion-resistant hot compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester and feature transparent Lexan windows. Notably, they do not contain halogens. The VJB series "HWPL" enclosures come equipped with one or two stainless steel padlockable latches that secure one side of the cover to the base, complemented by a stainless steel piano hinge that secures the other side. The hinge is connected to the cover with rivets, while the latch(es) are secured to the base with self-tapping screws. The light gray (RAL7035) hot-molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) bases and covers are supplied with UL/CSA labels and include four threaded inserts for mounting plate installation. The cover screw holes in the corners are located outside the gasketed area, and continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. The enclosure is designed for ease of modification using conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches. The FRP enclosures can withstand continuous temperatures from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and can endure momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). Without latches, the VJB enclosures offer enhanced security for both operators and equipment, featuring double insulation and a protection degree of IP66-11 according to IEC 529. They are maintenance-free, corrosion-resistant, UL listed per UL Standard 508 Type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, and CSA approved per C22.2 No. 94. The VJB series enclosures are intended for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments, including oil refineries, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, and agricultural or food processing facilities, making them suitable as instrument housings for both indoor and outdoor applications.
