The VJB series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths, and a variety of configurations. The enclosures are constructed from corrosion-resistant hot compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, featuring transparent Lexan windows, and do not contain halogens. The VJB series "HWPL" enclosures are equipped with one or two stainless steel padlockable latches to secure one side of the cover to the base, alongside a stainless steel piano hinge that secures the other side. The hinge is connected to the cover by rivets, while self-tapping screws are used to connect the latch(es) to the base. The bases and covers are made of light gray (RAL7035) hot molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) and come complete with UL/CSA labels and four threaded inserts for a mounting plate. Additionally, cover screw holes in corners are outside of the gasketed area, and continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. The enclosure can be readily worked with conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches. The FRP enclosures can withstand continuous temperatures from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). VJB enclosures without latches provide optimum security to both operators and equipment, featuring double insulation and a protection degree of IP66-11 according to IEC 529. They are maintenance-free and corrosion-resistant, UL listed as per UL standard 508 type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, and CSA approved as per C22.2 No. 94. The VJB series enclosures are designed for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments, including oil refineries, chemical processing plants, waste water treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, agricultural environments, and food or animal processing plants, as well as suitable for instrument housings in both indoor and outdoor settings.
