The CVJ series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths and configurations. These enclosures are made from corrosion-resistant hot compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester and feature transparent Lexan windows, without containing halogens. The "HWLL" enclosures include one or two stainless steel twist latches for securing one side of the cover to the base, along with a stainless steel piano hinge for the opposite side. Rivets attach the hinge to the cover, while self-tapping screws connect the cover to the base. The bases and covers are light gray (RAL 7035) hot molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) and come complete with UL/CSA labels and four threaded inserts for a mounting plate. Cover screw holes are situated outside of the gasketed area, and continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. The enclosure can be easily worked with conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches. It is designed to withstand continuous temperatures from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). CVJ enclosures without latches offer enhanced security for both operators and equipment, featuring double insulation and a protection degree of IP66-11 according to IEC 529. They are maintenance-free and corrosion resistant. Additionally, CVJ enclosures are UL listed as per UL standard 508 type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13, and are CSA approved per C22.2 No. 94. Designed for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures, they are suitable for highly corrosive environments such as oil refineries, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, agricultural environments, and food or animal processing plants, making them appropriate for indoor and outdoor applications.
