The VJ series consists of seven enclosure sizes ranging from 6" x 6" to 18" x 16", with varying depths and configurations. The VJ series "NHWLL" enclosures include one or two stainless steel twist latches to secure one side of the cover to the base and two non-metallic hinges for the other side. Self-tapping screws connect the hinges to the cover and base. The bases and covers are made of light gray (RAL7035), hot molded fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP), and come complete with UL/CSA labels along with four threaded inserts for a mounting plate. The cover screw holes in the corners are outside of the gasketed area, while continuous gaskets made of polyurethane foam ensure optimal integrity. Capable of being worked with conventional tools such as drills, mills, saws, and punches, the enclosures can withstand continuous temperatures from -58°F to 302°F (-50°C to 150°C) and momentary exposure to temperatures up to 392°F (200°C). VJ enclosures without latches feature double insulation and a protection degree of IP66-11 according to IEC 529 for enhanced security of operators and equipment. These maintenance-free, corrosion-resistant enclosures are UL listed as per UL standard 508 type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13 and are also CSA approved as per C22.2 No. 94. Designed for use as electrical junction boxes or instrumentation enclosures in highly corrosive environments—such as oil refineries, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, marine installations, electroplating plants, agricultural environments, and food or animal processing plants—the VJ enclosures are also suitable as instrument housings for both indoor and outdoor applications. Additionally, window enclosures facilitate easy visual inspection of interior components.
