The 3M™ Particulate Filter 2078, P95, features nuisance level organic vapor and acid gas relief and is packaged with 100 filters per case. This filter is designed for use with 3M™ respirators from the 5000 series or the 6000 series cartridges when paired with the 3M™ adapter 502, as well as with 3M™ half and full facepieces from the 6000, 7000, and FF-400 series that utilize bayonet filter holders. When properly fitted, the filter can be employed in a variety of applications such as dust, welding, metal pouring, and certain finishing operations, allowing for protection against concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) with half facepieces and 50 times PEL with full facepieces. It also provides nuisance level relief from organic vapors and acid gases below the PEL, indicating that these concentrations must not exceed OSHA PEL or other applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Full facepieces require quantitative fit testing to achieve an assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. It is important to note that this filter should not be used for respiratory protection against organic vapors or acid gases, or in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). Additionally, it is not NIOSH certified for use against ozone.
