The Cast Iron Flanged Ball Valve with PTFE® Fused Ball is designed for durability and efficiency, featuring a Teflon® fused ball that reduces buildup and enhances longevity compared to traditional unprotected balls. This innovative valve incorporates a unique process developed with DuPont, which involves impregnating PTFE® .008" into a solid metal ball, with an additional .004" added electrostatically for a smoother finish. As the PTFE® becomes integral to the metal, it eliminates concerns of flaking, chipping, or peeling. The valve boasts impressive corrosion and chemical resistance, making it a reliable choice across various applications. The lubricity of the PTFE® ball facilitates lower torque ratings, simplifying operation and reducing the need for expensive actuators. The product includes a complete line of actuators, gear operators, and operating nuts specifically for the 4000 series. Its four-bolt actuator mounting pad supports automation requirements, presenting an effective alternative to cast iron gates, carbon steel ball valves, and plug valves.
