The Flanged Ball Valves are designed with a ductile iron construction featuring a PTFE® fused ball for enhanced durability and resistance to buildup. The 4000 and 3700 series utilize a patented process developed in collaboration with DuPont, which involves impregnating .008" of PTFE® into a solid metal ball, with an additional .004" applied electrostatically to enhance smoothness. This integration ensures the PTFE® is an intrinsic part of the metal, preventing flaking, chipping, or peeling. The valves boast exceptional corrosion and chemical resistance, recognized globally, making them a reliable alternative to conventional metal valves. The lubricity of the PTFE® ball results in lower torque ratings, facilitating easier operation and allowing the use of smaller, cost-effective actuators. A comprehensive selection of actuators, gear operators, and operating nuts is available for the 4000 series, which is further enhanced by a four-bolt actuator mounting pad suitable for automation applications.
