The Cast Iron Flanged Ball Valve features a PTFE® fused ball, with the 4000 and 3700 series designed to provide enhanced durability and reduced susceptibility to buildup compared to standard unprotected balls. This is achieved through a proprietary process developed with DuPont, where PTFE® is impregnated into a solid metal ball, with an additional electrostatically added layer for improved smoothness.
