The Vanguard locker features a locking top compartment designed to enhance security. This single wide steel locker comprises a full height of 60" H, complemented by a 12" H box locker on top for added storage capacity and security. Constructed from prime grade cold rolled steel, the locker boasts a welded door frame utilizing mortise and tenon construction for increased strength. The 16 gauge steel doors are louvered for ventilation and equipped with 5-knuckle hinges for durability. The large storage locker is designed with a die-cast latching handle that ensures quick and easy operation via spring-loaded latch clips. The latch channels incorporate unique nylon glides, while the latch hooks feature rubber bumpers to minimize noise, enabling quiet operation. Each large storage locker includes 2 single prong coat hooks, and the top box locker is equipped with a padlockable friction hasp and latch for secure, permanent storage of books and equipment (locks sold separately). Each compartment is provided with number plates, with the specific numbers to be specified at the time of order. The locker also includes legs that add 6" to its height and is finished with a powder coat for durability. It is easy to assemble. Effective from 3/01/2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain uniformity in color throughout the locker, while gray color finished Vanguard lockers in quick ship orders are consistent in color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will possess common champagne color body parts, whereas single solid colors are available at longer lead times and an additional charge.
