The Vanguard locker features a locking top compartment for increased security, consisting of a single wide steel design with a full height of 60" and a 12" high box locker on top for added storage. Constructed from prime grade cold rolled steel, the welded door frame utilizes mortise and tenon construction for strength. The 16-gauge steel doors are louvered for ventilation and equipped with robust 5-knuckle hinges. The locker includes a die-cast latching handle for effortless operation, utilizing spring-loaded latch clips, while the latch channels are fitted with unique nylon glides and rubber bumpers to minimize noise during operation. Additionally, the locker incorporates 2 single prong coat hooks, and the top box locker features a padlockable friction hasp and latch for secure and permanent storage of books and equipment (locks sold separately). Each compartment comes with number plates, which should be specified at the time of order. The legs add 6" to the overall height, and the unit is finished with a durable powder coat. The locker is designed for easy assembly, with certain color finishes such as champagne and gray being consistent throughout the structure, while other finishes may have common champagne color body parts. Single solid colors are available, subject to longer lead times and additional charges.
