The Vanguard locker features a locking top compartment for enhanced security, comprising a single wide steel locker that measures 60" H for the full-height section and includes a 12" H box locker on top for additional storage. Constructed from prime grade cold rolled steel, the locker has a welded door frame with mortise and tenon construction, providing added strength. The 16-gauge steel doors are louvered for ventilation and equipped with 5-knuckle hinges for increased durability. This large storage locker includes a die-cast latching handle for easy operation through spring-loaded latch clips, while the unique nylon glides in the latch channels and rubber bumpers on the latch hooks minimize noise during use. It also incorporates 2 single prong coat hooks and features a padlockable friction hasp and latch for the top box locker, ensuring secure and permanent storage for books and equipment (locks sold separately). Each compartment is furnished with number plates, and the legs add 6" to the overall height. The powder coat finish provides durability, and the locker is designed for easy assembly. Note that effective March 1, 2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout, while the gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also align in uniform color. Other color finishes may have common champagne colored body parts, with single solid colors available at longer lead times and an additional charge.
