The locker kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. It features a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings use mortise and tenon construction along with spot welding for enhanced rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, and strikes come with padding to dampen closing noise. Both single and double tier models include a recessed handle for a smooth, catch-free front that protects padlocks from tampering. The latching channels are equipped with nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. The single tier lockers are designed with 3-point latching (top, bottom, and sides) and include legs that add 6 inches to the overall height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for added safety. The lockers feature a durable powder coat finish. Note that as of March 1, 2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout, while only the quick ship gray finished Vanguard lockers exhibit this characteristic. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will have common champagne color body parts, and single solid colors are available with longer lead times and an additional charge.
