The half height locker, measuring 48-1/2 inches, is designed for children's schools, learning centers, and confined areas where full height lockers do not fit. This locker, constructed from prime grade cold rolled steel, features a fixed height shelf to create two compartments, making it ideal for storing books, supplies, and equipment. The welded door frame employs mortise and tenon construction for added strength, and the 16-gauge steel door is louvered for ventilation, utilizing 5-knuckle hinges to enhance durability. The locker includes number plates, which must be specified at the time of order, and is equipped with a die-cast latching handle for quick, easy operation with spring-loaded latch clips. Additional features include latch channels with unique nylon glides, rubber bumpers on latch hooks for noise reduction, and two single prong coat hooks. The locker comes with a powder coat finish for durability and is designed for easy assembly. Notably, effective March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers feature a consistent color throughout, while gray color finished only quick ship Vanguard lockers are also uniform in color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian share common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available for longer lead times and additional charges.
