The Bluff® aluminum dock board with steel curbs measures 60 x 60 inches and has a 10,000 lb. capacity. It is designed to speed up loading operations, help prevent accidents, and reduce labor costs. The dock board features an anti-skid diamond tread surface and high-visibility beveled curbs for maximum safety. It combines the strength of steel with the light weight of aluminum, utilizing resilient aluminum alloy for the positive traction surface. Bolted-on steel curbs provide excellent impact resistance and help prevent run-off, while the curb also offers a full-length handgrip for ease and safety in handling. A safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent movement under load. The board is supplied with an 11-degree angle unless another angle of operation is specified, and includes an 11-inch entry lip with a rounded nose to protect tires. It meets OSHA requirements 1910.30(a) and can be reversed when the truck is lower than dock level. The capacity rating is based on the combined weight of maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. For multi-shift operations, 3-wheeled forklifts, or trucks using paper roll clamps, an additional 5,000 lbs. should be added to the board capacity. Width should be 12 inches greater than the lift truck or load, with usable width 4 inches less than overall width. Stackers, 3-wheeled forklifts, and narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board. Refrigerated trucks require special dock boards; consult for additional information.
