The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches is designed for efficient and safe maneuvering of forklifts in dock operations. This dock board includes integral fork cut-outs that allow the forklift operator to move, set, and retrieve the dock plate without leaving the operator's seat. The leading edge features twin "notched" holes for easy scooping, eliminating the need for raising lifting loops or securing chains, thereby enhancing productivity and safety in high-traffic areas. Constructed from all welded steel, the dock board features an anti-skid diamond tread surface for maximum safety, tapered curbs to prevent tire damage, and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. The safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent shifting under load. This dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2, and has a capacity of 15,000 lb. It includes a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. The capacity rating accounts for the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, applicable for a single shift with equipment speeds of 3 mph maximum. The width of the board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width that is 6" less than the overall width. Notably, stackers and narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board, and special dock plates are required for refrigerated trucks. The application height accommodates up to 11" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 8.5" above the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
