The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches features an all welded steel construction with an anti-skid diamond tread surface for maximum safety, designed specifically for high-traffic dock operations. This dock board includes integral fork cut-outs that enable forklift drivers to maneuver without leaving their seat, enhancing both productivity and safety. The board is equipped with twin "notched" holes at the leading edge, allowing easy scooping and placement without the need for lifting loops or secure chains. It has tapered curbs to help prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. A safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent shifting under load. The dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2, with a loading capacity of 15,000 lb. It has a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. The capacity is the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. It is recommended that the width be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width of 6" less than overall width. Note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board, and special dock plates are required for refrigerated trucks. Application height accommodates up to 9" above dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 7" above dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
