The Bluff® Speedy Board® aluminum dock board features welded aluminum curbs and forklift tine notches, making it a lightweight option that allows for easier placement and retrieval. This all-welded dock board is designed for low-to-medium volume dock applications when utilizing a pallet jack or forklift. It includes heavy-duty aluminum treadplate construction, fully welded extruded aluminum curbs, and safety restraint legs, ensuring maximum corrosion resistance and controlled spark production. The board has beveled ends for smooth entry and exit, along with an 11° bend and an 11" lip on the truck end. Integral fork cut-outs facilitate quick and safe placement with a forklift. It conforms to OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. The capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and the lift truck, rated for equipment speeds of 3 mph maximum. The width of the dock board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, and the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. The height difference (HT" difference up) indicates the height difference above the dock. A 14% grade applies to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, while a 19% grade applies to gas-powered forklifts. The application height can reach up to 9" above the dock when using a propane or gas forklift, and up to 7" when using an electric forklift or pallet jack.
