The Bluff® steel dock board with steel curbs is designed to enhance loading operations while ensuring safety and efficiency. It features an anti-skid diamond tread surface and high-visibility beveled curbs, providing maximum safety for frequent motorized traffic. Constructed from heavy-duty all-welded steel, it offers excellent impact resistance and durability. This dock board includes built-in lifting loops and a curb that provides a full-length handgrip for safe handling. A safety stop on the underside ensures the board remains securely in place between the truck and dock under load. Standard specifications include an 11° angle unless otherwise specified, an 11" entry lip with a rounded nose to protect tires, and a width that should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with the most popular width being 60". The usable width is 4" less than the overall width. It meets OSHA requirements 1910.30(a) and is rated for a single shift capacity based on a maximum equipment speed of 3 mph; for multi-shift operations with certain equipment, an additional capacity of 5000 lbs. may be required. The application height capabilities extend up to 11" above the dock for propane or gas forklifts and up to 8.5" for electric forklifts or pallet jacks. Refrigerated trucks necessitate special dock boards, which are available upon request.
