The Bluff® aluminum dock board with steel curbs measures 60 x 72 inches and has a 10,000 lb. capacity. It features an anti-skid diamond tread surface and high-visibility beveled steel curbs that provide impact resistance and help prevent run-off, combining the strength of steel with the lightweight aluminum alloy construction. The dock board includes a bolted-on steel curb that offers a full-length handgrip for safe handling. A safety stop on the underside of the board fits snugly between truck and dock to prevent movement under load. The board comes with an 11-degree operating angle unless otherwise specified, and an 11-inch entry lip with a rounded nose to protect tires. It meets OSHA requirements 1910.30(a) and can be reversed when the truck is lower than dock level. The capacity rating is for the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, designed for single-shift use with equipment speeds up to 3 mph; for multi-shift use, 3-wheeled forklifts, or trucks using paper roll clamps, an additional 5,000 lbs. should be added to the capacity. The recommended width is 12 inches greater than the lift truck or load, with usable width being 4 inches less than the overall width. Stacker trucks, 3-wheeled forklifts, and narrow-aisle loaders are not recommended for use on this dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dock boards.
