The Bluff® aluminum dock board with steel curbs measures 60 x 60 inches and has a 15,000 lb. capacity, designed to speed up loading operations while enhancing safety and reducing labor costs. It features an anti-skid diamond tread surface and high-visibility beveled curbs for maximum safety. The board combines the strength of steel with the light weight of aluminum, utilizing a resilient aluminum alloy with a positive traction surface. Bolted-on steel curbs provide excellent impact resistance to help prevent run-off and include a full-length handgrip for ease and safety in handling. The underside safety stop fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent movement under load. The board comes with an 11-degree angle unless another angle of operation is specified, and includes an 11-inch entry lip with a rounded nose to protect tires. It meets OSHA requirements 1910.30(a) and can be reversed when the truck is lower than dock level. Capacity refers to the combined weight of your maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds up to 3 mph; for multi-shift operations, 3-wheeled forklifts, or trucks using paper roll clamps, it is recommended to add 5,000 lbs. to the capacity. Width should be 12 inches greater than the lift truck or load, with the most popular width being 60 inches; usable width is 4 inches less than overall width. Stacker, 3-wheeled forklifts, and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board. Refrigerated trucks require specialized dock boards.
