The BLUFF® steel dock board with steel curbs measures 60 x 36 inches and has a 10,000 lb. capacity, designed to speed up loading operations while enhancing safety and reducing labor costs. It features an anti-skid diamond tread surface and high-visibility beveled curbs for maximum safety, constructed from heavy-duty all-welded steel suitable for frequent motorized traffic, offering maximum impact resistance, strength, and safety. The package includes lifting chains and a curb with a full-length handgrip for ease and safety in handling. A safety stop on the underside fits snugly between truck and dock to prevent movement under load. The dock board is supplied with an 11° angle unless another angle of operation is specified, and has an 11-inch entry lip with a rounded nose to protect tires. It meets OSHA requirements 1910.30(a) and can be reversed when the truck is lower than dock level. The capacity rating is based on the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck for a single shift at equipment speeds up to 3 mph; for multi-shift operations, 3-wheeled forklifts, or trucks using paper roll clamps, add 5,000 lbs. to the board capacity. The recommended width is 12 inches greater than the lift truck or load, with the most popular width being 60 inches and a usable width 4 inches less than the overall width. Stackers, 3-wheeled forklifts, and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dock boards.
