The BLUFF® steel dock board with steel curbs measures 60 x 72 inches and has a 10,000 lb. capacity, designed to speed up loading operations while enhancing safety and reducing labor costs. It features an anti-skid diamond tread surface and high-visibility beveled curbs, providing maximum safety and full-length handgrip curbs for ease and safety in handling. Constructed from heavy-duty, all-welded steel, it is suitable for frequent motorized traffic offering maximum impact resistance, strength, and safety. The dock board includes lifting chains and a safety stop on the underside that fits snugly between the truck and dock to prevent movement under load. An 11° angle is supplied unless another angle of operation is specified, and it has an 11-inch entry lip with a rounded nose to protect tires. The board meets OSHA requirements 1910.30(a) and can be reversed for trucks lower than dock level. Capacity ratings are based on the combined weight of the maximum pallet load plus lift truck for a single shift at speeds up to 3 mph; for multi-shift operations, 3-wheeled forklifts, or trucks using paper roll clamps, an additional 5,000 lbs. should be added to capacity. The recommended width is 12 inches greater than the lift truck or load, with 60-inch being the most popular; usable width is 4 inches less than the overall width. Stacker, 3-wheeled forklifts, and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dock boards. Warranty terms are included with the product.
