The Interlake Mecalux pallet rack tear drop starter unit measures 96"W x 42"D x 96"H and is designed to provide versatility for warehouses with a wide range of product types. This easy-to-order pre-configured starter unit includes two upright frames and two beam shelf levels. The pallet rack upright frames and beams are manufactured from high-strength steel and quality raw materials, featuring tear drop perforations for shelf adjustment at 2" increments, and a durable green powder coat finish. Standard pre-punched footplates simplify anchoring, while the orange pallet rack beams utilize a piston lock frame-to-beam connection that automatically seats and locks to prevent accidental displacement. This damage and tamper-proof system ensures maximum security and capacity. The 1-5/8" step within the beams accommodates wire decking and various accessories. Extensions to the pallet rack system can be made by ordering additional Interlake Mecalux welded pallet rack add-on units. The assembly process is straightforward, and the units are interchangeable with products from Global, Wireway/Husky, Unarco, Steel King, USP, Speed Rack, and Invincible. The capacity is based on a 36" beam shelf spacing, and the starter units are Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI) certified.
