The Interlake Mecalux pallet rack tear drop starter unit measures 108"W x 42"D x 96"H and is designed for versatility in warehouses handling a variety of product types. This pre-configured starter unit includes two upright frames and two beam shelf levels. Constructed from high-strength steel and quality raw materials, the pallet rack's upright frames feature tear drop perforations for shelf adjustment at 2" increments and are finished with a durable green powder coat. The standard pre-punched footplates facilitate easy anchoring, while the orange pallet rack beams incorporate a piston lock frame-to-beam connection that seats and locks automatically, ensuring protection against accidental beam displacement. This tamper-proof locking system enhances safety and maximizes total capacity. The beams also have a 1-5/8" step that accommodates wire decking and various accessories. Extending the pallet rack system is straightforward with the option to add Interlake Mecalux welded pallet rack add-on units. The unit allows for easy assembly and is interchangeable with brands such as Global, Wireway/Husky, Unarco, Steel King, USP, Speed Rack, and Invincible. Capacity is based on 36" beam shelf spacing, and the starter units are certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI).
