The Interlake Mecalux pallet rack tear drop starter, measuring 108"W x 48"D x 144"H, is designed for versatility in warehouses that store a diverse range of products. This pre-configured starter unit includes two upright frames and two beam shelf levels, manufactured from high-strength steel and other quality materials. The tear drop perforations on the upright column allow for shelf adjustments at 2" increments, and the upright frames feature a green powder coat finish that ensures durability. Standard pre-punched footplates facilitate easy anchoring, while the orange pallet rack beams incorporate a piston lock frame-to-beam connection that securely seats and locks automatically, preventing accidental beam displacement. The piston lock system is both damage and tamper-proof, providing the industry's most secure connection while maximizing total capacity. The 1-5/8" step within the beams accommodates wire decking and other accessories. Additionally, extending the length of the pallet rack system can be accomplished easily with Interlake Mecalux welded pallet rack add-on units, which are compatible with brands such as Global, Wireway/Husky, Unarco, Steel King, USP, Speed Rack, and Invincible. The capacity is based on 36" beam shelf spacing, and these starter units are Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc (RMI) certified.
