The Interlake Mecalux pallet rack tear drop starter unit measures 120"W x 48"D x 144"H and is designed to offer versatility for warehouses accommodating a wide variety of product types. This pre-configured starter unit includes two upright frames and two beam shelf levels. The pallet rack components, including upright frames and pallet beams, are constructed from high-strength steel and other quality raw materials, featuring tear drop perforations on the face of the upright column for shelf adjustment at 2" increments. The upright frames are finished with a green powder coat, providing a durable and even coating. Standard pre-punched footplates facilitate easy anchoring, while the orange pallet rack beams utilize a piston lock frame-to-beam connection, which secures automatically and protects against accidental beam displacement. This damage and tamper-proof locking system ensures a secure connection that maximizes total capacity. The 1-5/8" step within the beams accommodates wire decking and other accessories. Additional Interlake Mecalux welded pallet rack add-on units can be ordered to extend the length of the rack system, which offers easy assembly and is interchangeable with brands such as Global, Wireway/Husky, Unarco, Steel King, USP, Speed Rack, and Invincible. The capacity is based on a 36" beam shelf spacing, and these starter units are certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc (RMI).
