The locker kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. It features a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe to prevent the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings are constructed using mortise and tenon techniques with spot welding to ensure rigidity. A continuous door strike guarantees secure closure, and the strikes include padding to minimize closing noise. Both single and double tier models are equipped with a recessed handle that allows for a smooth, catch-free front while protecting padlocks from tampering. The latching channels incorporate nylon glides to decrease sound during operation. These single tier lockers come with a 3-point latching system (top, bottom, and sides), which adds 6 inches to the overall height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for enhanced safety. The lockers have a powder coat finish. Effective from March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a uniform color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers exhibit the same color consistency. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will feature common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available for longer lead times and additional charges.
