The locker kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. It features a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings utilize mortis and tenon construction with spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure while the strikes are padded to dampen closing noise. The recessed handle provides a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. Latching channels incorporate nylon glides to minimize sound during opening or closing. This double tier locker is equipped with 2-point latching (top and bottom) and has legs that add 6 inches to its height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The kit features a durable powder coat finish and is compliant with relevant safety and construction standards. Note that effective March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers are also uniform in color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will include common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available at longer lead times and with an additional charge.
