The locker kit includes a variety of features to ensure secure, reliable, and quiet use. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings feature mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, and the strikes include padding to dampen closing noise. The recessed handle provides a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. The latching channels have nylon glides to reduce sound when opening or closing. This double tier locker has a 2-point latching system (top and bottom) and legs that add 6" to the overall height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The locker features a durable powder coat finish. Note that effective 3/01/2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain the same color throughout, while gray color finished only quick ship Vanguard lockers are uniform in color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will include common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available at longer lead times and an additional charge.
