The kit includes features designed to ensure secure, reliable, and quiet use, such as a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe to prevent tampering. All door openings utilize mortis and tenon construction complemented by spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike guarantees secure closure, and padded strikes help dampen closing noise. Both single and double tier models come with a recessed handle that allows for a smooth, catch-free front while protecting padlocks from tampering. The latching channels are equipped with nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. Single tier lockers feature a 3-point latching system (top, bottom, and side legs add 6" to height), and it is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for enhanced safety. The lockers have a durable powder coat finish. Please note that effective March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers will maintain the same color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers will also feature uniform color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will include common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available but subject to longer lead times and additional charges.
