The kit includes a double tier locker featuring a variety of attributes designed for secure, reliable, and quiet operation. It has a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings are constructed using mortise and tenon techniques, complemented by spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, with padded strikes to minimize closing noise. The recessed handle is designed to provide a smooth, catch-free front while protecting padlocks from tampering. Additionally, latching channels incorporate nylon glides to reduce sound during operation. This locker includes 2-point latching (top and bottom) and is equipped with legs that add 6 inches to its height. For safety, it is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall. It features a durable powder coat finish. Effective March 1, 2021, the champagne color finish for Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintains consistent coloring throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers exhibit uniformity as well; other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian incorporate common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available upon request with longer lead times and an additional charge.
