The locker kit includes a variety of features to ensure secure, reliable, and quiet use, with a right-hand butt hinge recessed into the doorframe to prevent tampering. All door openings feature mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for rigidity, while a continuous door strike ensures secure closure, with strikes equipped with padding to dampen closing noise. The recessed handle provides a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. Additionally, latching channels feature nylon glides to reduce sound during operation. This double tier locker includes 2-point latching at the top and bottom and has legs that add 6 inches to its height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The lockers have a durable powder coat finish. Note that effective March 1, 2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers have a consistent color throughout, while the gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers maintain the same color throughout. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will have common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available for longer lead times and an additional charge.
