The locker kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. It features a right-hand butt hinge that is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings utilize mortis and tenon construction with spot welding to ensure rigidity. The continuous door strike guarantees secure closure, while the padded strikes help to dampen closing noise. Additionally, the recessed handle allows for a smooth, catch-free front and provides protection for padlocks against tampering. The latching channels are equipped with nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. This double tier locker is equipped with 2-point latching (top and bottom) and has legs that add 6 inches to the overall height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for added safety. The locker features a powder coat finish, and as of March 1, 2021, the Champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain the same color throughout, while the Gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers are uniform in color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will include common Champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available but requiring longer lead times and additional charges.
