The kit includes a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet operation, with a right-hand butt hinge recessed into the doorframe to prevent tampering. Each door opening is constructed using mortis and tenon methods with spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, while padded strikes minimize closing noise. Both single and double tier models come equipped with a recessed handle for a smooth, catch-free front, safeguarding padlocks from tampering. Latching channels incorporate nylon glides to reduce sound during operation. The single tier lockers are equipped with a 3-point latching system that secures at the top, bottom, and sides, while legs add an additional 6 inches to the height. It is recommended to anchor lockers to the floor and/or wall for enhanced safety. The lockers have a durable powder coat finish. Effective March 1, 2021, champagne-colored finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain the same color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also feature a consistent color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian may have common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available for longer lead times and additional charges.
