The kit includes a variety of features designed to ensure secure, reliable, and quiet use. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe to prevent the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings utilize mortise and tenon construction combined with spot welding for enhanced rigidity. A continuous door strike facilitates secure closure, while the strikes are padded to dampen closing noise. Both single and double tier models incorporate a recessed handle that allows for a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. The latching channels are equipped with nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. These single tier lockers feature 3-point latching (top, bottom, and sides), and the legs add 6 inches to the overall height. It is advised to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The lockers are finished with a durable powder coating. Additionally, effective March 1, 2021, the champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain a consistent color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also present the same color throughout. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will have common champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available upon longer lead times and additional charges.
