BSC Preferred's™ Series Industrial Roof Exhausters are tailored for general ventilation and smoke and fume removal, emphasizing lower cost and less maintenance. The kit includes a robust steel curb cap featuring a spun venturi section designed for efficient air flow. Standard components consist of cast aluminum spark-resistant propellers that are appropriate for hazardous locations when paired with an explosion-proof motor. The unit is equipped with a butterfly damper section made of mill galvanized construction, wherein the damper blades open when the fan is activated and close weathertight when not in use. The dampers rotate on nylon bearings mounted on a stainless steel axle. Optional accessories encompass weatherproof non-fused disconnect switches, insulated roof curbs suited for flat or pitched roofs, magnetic latches to secure damper section lids when the fan is off, and replacement damper sections.
