The Bluff® steel dock board with forklift tine notches features a Bluff® Speedy Board® design that includes integral fork cut-outs for easy and safe maneuvering, allowing forklift drivers to move, set, and retrieve the dock plate without leaving the seat. The leading edge is equipped with twin "notched" holes for convenient handling, enhancing productivity in high-traffic dock operations while improving safety by minimizing the need for the driver to exit the forklift cab. Constructed with all welded steel and an anti-skid diamond tread surface, this loading dock board ensures maximum safety. It includes tapered curbs to prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. A safety stop on the underside of the plate ensures it fits snugly between the truck and dock, preventing shifting under load. The board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2, has a capacity of 15,000 lb, and features a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. The capacity is based on the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. The board's width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with the usable width being 6" less than the overall width. It is important to note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on a dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dock plates. The height difference above the dock is limited to 7" for propane or gas forklifts and 5" for electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
