The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches is designed for efficient and safe operations, featuring integral fork cut-outs that facilitate easy maneuvering by allowing the forklift driver to move, set, and retrieve the dock plate without dismounting. The board includes twin "notched" holes on the leading edge, enabling the driver to scoop the board effortlessly, thereby enhancing safety and productivity during high-traffic dock operations. Constructed from all welded steel with an anti-skid diamond tread surface, the dock board is built for maximum safety. It is equipped with tapered curbs to prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. A safety stop on the underside of the plate ensures it fits snugly between the truck and dock, preventing any shifting under load. This dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2, and supports a capacity of 15,000 lbs. with a 7° bend at 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend at 8" from the dock end. Note that capacity accounts for the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, and is rated for a single shift with equipment speeds not exceeding 3 mph. The usable width is 6" less than the overall width, and the dock board is not suitable for stackers or narrow aisle loaders. Additionally, refrigerated trucks require special dock plates. The application height is applicable for use up to 5" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 3" above the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks. The unit has a warranty that covers defects in material and workmanship for one year, under normal usage conditions.
