The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches is designed for efficient and safe operation in high-traffic dock environments. This dock board features integral fork cut-outs that enable a forklift driver to maneuver, set, and retrieve the dock plate without exiting the vehicle. The leading edge incorporates twin "notched" holes that facilitate easy scooping and moving of the board, eliminating the need for lifting loops or securing chains. Constructed with all-welded steel and an anti-skid diamond tread surface, it ensures maximum safety. The dock board includes tapered curbs to prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. A safety stop on the underside fits snugly between the truck and dock, preventing shifting under load. It complies with OSHA Spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI Spec. MH30.2, supporting a maximum capacity of 15,000 lb. The board features a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. The capacity is the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with speeds of up to 3 mph. The width of the board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width 6" less than the overall width. Note that stackers and narrow aisle loaders are not suitable for use on this dock board, and special dock plates are required for refrigerated trucks. The application height accommodates up to 9" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 7" above with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
