The Bluff® Steel Dock Board with Forklift Tine Notches is designed for efficient and safe dock operations, featuring integral fork cut-outs that allow forklift drivers to maneuver, set, and retrieve the dock plate without leaving their seats. This dock board includes twin "notched" holes on the leading edge, facilitating easy movement without the need for lifting loops or securing chains. Constructed with all welded steel and an anti-skid diamond tread surface, it enhances safety during high-traffic cycles. The dock board has tapered curbs to prevent tire damage and beveled ends for smooth entry and exit. It features a safety stop on the underside that fits snugly between the truck and dock, ensuring stability under load. The dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2, supporting a capacity of 20,000 lb. with a 7° bend 17" from the truck end and a 9° bend 8" from the dock end. Note that the capacity is the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with speeds up to 3 mph. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, and the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. It is important to note that stackers and narrow aisle loaders should not be used on the dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dock plates. The application height accommodates forklifts up to 5" above the dock for propane or gas models and up to 3" above the dock for electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
