The Bluff® steel red pin heavy duty dock board features dual positioning pins on each side for added flexibility and safety, making it an ideal solution for difficult angled parking situations where trailers cannot fully reach the dock. It is flexible enough to accommodate refrigerated trailers and overseas containers, with full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins spaced on 2" centers for increased adjustability and safety. The design allows trucks below dock level to use the board without requiring it to be turned around. Fold-down lifting loops measuring 11" wide by 4" high on 27" centers facilitate easy forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage. Constructed from all-welded steel, it is suitable for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks. The board includes one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end and complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. Capacity is rated for the combined weight of maximum pallet load and lift truck, with equipment speeds up to 3 mph maximum; stackers and narrow aisle loaders are not recommended. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with usable width 6" less than overall width. The height difference above the dock is noted, with a 14% grade applicable to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, and a 19% grade for gas-powered forklifts. Application height ranges up to 9" above dock or 3.5" below dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 7" above dock or 3.5" below dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
