The Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board features dual positioning pins on each side for added flexibility and safety, making it ideal for difficult angled parking situations where a trailer cannot reach the dock (park-out). It is flexible enough to handle refrigerated trailers and overseas containers, constructed from all-welded steel for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks. The board includes full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins spaced on 2" centers for increased adjustability and safety, allowing trucks below dock level to use the board without needing to turn it around. Fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops on 27" centers enable easy forklift transport and positioning, while contoured curbs prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage. The dock board incorporates one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. Capacity refers to the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck and is rated for equipment speeds up to 3 mph; stackers and other narrow aisle loaders are not suitable for use on the dock board. The board width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with usable width being 6" less than the overall width. The height difference "up" is defined as the height difference above the dock. A 14% grade limit applies to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, while a 19% grade applies to gas-powered forklifts. Application height accommodates up to 11" above dock or 4.5" below dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 8.5" above dock or 4.5" below dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
