The Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board is designed to address challenging angled parking situations and provides flexibility and safety with dual positioning pins on each side. It accommodates refrigerated trailers and overseas containers with full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins placed on 2" centers for enhanced adjustability. The dock board allows trucks below dock level to utilize it without requiring a turnaround, featuring fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops spaced on 27" centers for easy forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs help prevent runoffs and reduce forklift tire damage, while its all-welded steel construction ensures durability for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks. It includes one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend located 8" from the truck end. The dock board complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. The capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck and is rated for equipment speeds of 3 mph maximum. It is important to note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on this dock board, and the width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, while the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. The height difference applicable is based on the height above the dock, with a 14% grade for pallet trucks and electric forklifts, and a 19% grade for gas-powered forklifts. The application height allows up to 15" above the dock or 6.5" below dock for propane or gas forklifts, and up to 12" above dock or 6.5" below dock for electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
