The Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board features dual positioning pins on each side, providing enhanced flexibility and safety, making it ideal for challenging angled parking situations known as park-out. This dock board is capable of accommodating refrigerated trailers and overseas containers, with full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins positioned on 2" centers for increased adjustability and safety. It allows trucks below dock level to utilize the board without needing to turn it around, while fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops (on 27" centers) facilitate easy forklift transport and positioning. Additionally, contoured curbs are designed to prevent runoffs and protect forklift tires from damage. Constructed from all-welded steel for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks, the unit includes one 7° bend 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. The dock board complies with OSHA Spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI Spec. MH30.2. It has a maximum capacity that accounts for the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, and is rated for equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. It is not recommended for use with stackers or other narrow aisle loaders. The width should exceed the lift truck or load by 12", with a usable width that is 6" less than the overall width. The height difference above the dock (HT") must be noted, with a 14% grade applicable for pallet trucks and electric forklifts and a 19% grade for gas-powered forklifts. The dock board can accommodate application heights of up to 7" above the dock or 3" below for propane or gas forklifts, and up to 5" above or 3" below for electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
